PROCESS
Here's
your opportunity to make your creative teaching ideas a
reality!
The
Oregon Schools Foundation will be taking grant applications for
the 2012-13 school year. Oregon Schools Foundation is
a non profit organization that works in cooperation with the
Oregon Board of Education to help teachers help
students reach their fullest potential. A mini-grant
program grants small cash awards ($500-$1500) designed to
encourage creativity in the classroom, develop more
effective methods of instruction and reward imaginative
teaching in everyday lessons.
Who
can apply: Teachers or Administrators in Oregon
Schools system
Grant
period: This spring we will be accepting
applications for grants for 2012- 2013 school year. The
deadline is April 23th 2012
Amount
of grants: For individual applicants the grant can be up to
$500. For team applicants the grant may be awarded up
to $1500.
Grant
details: Grants
are intended to help develop more effective methods of
instruction. As
such the grant committee will award grants using the
following guidelines

Money is intended for
instructional resources and materials (refreshments
and prizes are not eligible)

Grants may be repeated however
the priority is to provide "seed
money" for new ideas.

Materials that can have
ongoing use are preferred to disposable/one use
items.
Awardees
Follow-Up Responsibility: It
is the expectation of the grant committee that awardees
will complete an evaluation form at the end of the grant
period. Also, the grantees may be requested to communicate
the grant outcomes to other teachers in their school
and in their grade across the district.
